Meet The Peace Village Management Team.
Hospitality and personal service drive our management team and help define community culture. The ideas, talents and efforts of these professionals and everyone on staff contribute to keeping Peace Village vibrant, dynamic and your best retirement community value in Chicago’s southwest suburbs.
Linda has been a healthcare executive for almost 40 years throughout the healthcare continuum. Immediately before joining the Peace Village team she was the President and CEO of Hospice at Home, a large non-profit Hospice and Palliative Care organization in Southwest Michigan. Additionally, as a result of a successful integration of Hospice at Home with Lakeland HealthCare several years ago, Linda was Vice-President of Life Transitions and Advance Healthcare Planning and part of the executive team of the health system. Linda’s experience also includes inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, private duty and staffing support, and long-term residential care for children with developmental disabilities. She is an advocate for relationship-centered care and passionate about advance health care planning, palliative care, end of life care, and grief and bereavement support.
In addition to being a long-time nursing professional and a Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Administrator, Linda has a Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration and a Doctorate in Holistic Health. She is also an Ordained Interfaith Minister and enjoys time with her 4 adult children and 7 grandchildren.
Chief Financial Officer
Roger is a CPA with more than a dozen years of experience in financial management. In addition to the financial services sector, he has worked with distribution and nonprofit organizations. He has been with Peace Village since 2009. Roger has a degree in accounting from Dordt College. He lives in Orland Hills with his wife and two boys.
Health & Wellness Administrator
Diane joined Peace Village in 2006 and has more than 30 years of experience in health care. She spent 25 years at Advocate Christ and Good Samaritan Hospitals in various nursing positions. She was Vice President at Behavioral Health Systems and Regional Lead Manager for United Behavioral Healthcare. She has served as a Vice President and Trustee at Peace Memorial Church, Past President and Board Member at Peace Village, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Advocate Christ Hospital. Diane has a bachelor’s degree in nursing and psychology, a master’s degree in healthcare administration, is licensed as a nurse and as a nursing home administrator in the State of Illinois.
Tim joined the Peace Village team in 2010. He spent more than 15 years in different aspects of the building and trades field, including Operations Manager for an independent contracting company. Tim has extensive experience in both project management and hands-on operations. He is always looking for innovative ways to enhance the lifestyles and surroundings for our residents and staff. As Facilities Director, he oversees the maintenance, housekeeping, security and landscaping departments, along with the management of all subcontract work. Tim resides in Tinley Park with his wife and five children.
Director of Sales and Marketing
Nancy joined the team at Peace Village in 2012. She has more than 15 years of experience in real estate, and loves helping others realize the dream of finding their perfect home. Growing up in Palos Park, Nancy saw the birth of Peace Village, and has watched it grow and flourish over the years. In her role as the Director of Sales and Marketing, Nancy continues to fulfill her passion for helping new residents find their perfect home at Peace Village. Nancy is married with two grown children and resides in Orland Park.
Director of Human Resources
Joan Bertucci is the Director of Human Resources at Peace Village. Joan joined Peace Village in January, 2014 and is responsible for attracting, developing and retaining a work force dedicated to serving our residents. Joan has over twenty years of experience in human resources. Her areas of responsibility include recruitment, benefits, compensation, learning and development, safety, employee relations, employment law, workers compensation and payroll. She has provided human resources services in the service industry, manufacturing, non-profit and communication industries.
Joan has a Bachelors of Science – Business with High Honors from Trinity Christian College. Joan is married with two children.
Director of Dining Services
Teresa joined Peace Village in 2016 and is looking forward to being part of the vision. She has spent 25 years in health care and hospitality industries, providing a very unique and satisfying dining experience. She earned her degree from the University of North Dakota in Applications of Science and Nutrition.
Teresa’s goals and vision are to continuously strive to enhance the progressive approach to the dining experience at Peace Village.
In her spare time, Teresa enjoys spending time with her two daughters and four grandchildren.
Director of Fund Development
Kim Karwacki joined Peace Village in August 2016. Kim studied communication at Augustana College and has a Master’s degree in Communication & Leadership from Park University. Before joining the team at Peace, she worked as the development and communications director for Hamdard Center for Health & Human Services, a not-for-profit health and social service agency serving the immigrant and refugee populations in the Chicagoland area for nine years. Kim is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, West Suburban Philanthropic Network and the Southwest Suburban Philanthropic Network. Kim also serves on the Board of Directors for Spirito! Singers, a non-profit choral organization dedicated to providing young singers the opportunity to learn and grow through exceptional vocal and musicianship training, discipline and performance.
Kim resides in Bolingbrook with her husband and one-year-old daughter.
